The Mont De Lancey Blacksmithing Group has over 50 enthusiasts who meet every Saturday & Sunday at the reconstructed Blacksmith shop. This is located in the grounds of the beautiful Mont De Lancey Historic Homestead and Museum. (03) 5964 2088
The fully equipped workshop provides an excellent place to come along and join in the fun of blacksmithing. There are plenty of members willing to lend a hand to help those interested in this ancient craft. We provide all the tools & equipment you need, and classes are run every term for the beginner

4th Annual AUSTRALIAN BLACKSMITH CONVENTION
Sat 11th & Sun 12th October, 2008
Come along and meet blacksmiths and farriers from around the country. This yearly event features ornamental smithing, knife making, tool smithing, armour manufacture & horse shoeing. Medieval re-enactments will also be displayed throughout the weekend.
FREE horse and cart rides for everyone and face painting for the kids
Entrance fee is only $5 for adults and free for all children
Come along and soak up the history of blacksmithing in the beautiful Yarra Valley with drinks and food available all day
